Blood and Steel

Behold the banners raised on high
And hear the trumpets call for war
They sound the charge with drum and fife
And never shall they call withdraw

The cannons sing with burning rage
The bullets strike with vengeful ire
On fields of dust and smoke they sing
A fearsome song of death and fire

The fields once green are watered red
By countless men who fight and bleed
Through storms of steel they march ahead
To quench with blood some tyrant’s greed
